Payment Details

You can choose to be paid either to an Umbrella Company or to your own Limited Company:

Umbrella Company
If you choose this option you will become an employee of your umbrella company. These companies are aimed at contractors who would rather work without the administrative duties associated with running their own limited company. Your umbrella company will invoice Prime Time each week for the hours you have worked. They will then pay you on a PAYE basis which means they will deduct your income tax, national insurance contributions and also a fee which they charge for the service they provide you with.
In addition to this you will submit expenses each week. Expenses reduce the amount of your taxable pay as your Umbrella Company will process them as a tax benefit e.g. earnings £400 and expenses £50 = taxable pay of £350. The HMRC decide what can be claimed as an expense but your Umbrella company will advise you on this.

Choosing an Umbrella Company:
If you choose this option you will need to decide which Umbrella Company you wish to use. You must ensure that your Umbrella Company covers you with the correct insurances (see the insurance section below.)
Below are several companies that we already hold the insurance certificates for:

I-Paye www.i-paye.com
Sterling Solutions www.thesterlinggroup.co.uk
Giant www.giantgroup.com
Paystream www.paystream.co.uk
Gabem www.gabem.com

We recommend that you look at the company websites for more information before making a decision.

Limited Company
With this option you are responsible for all company administrative duties  and submitting the necessary information to the HMRC and Companies House for example tax returns. You will be responsible for producing your own invoices each week for the hours you have worked. If you are working under your own Limited Company you will also need to hold your own Professional Indemnity, Employers Liability and Public Liability insurances.
