| Description | System Test and Validation Technician, Witham 3 month+ contract c15 per hour An ever increasing work load means our client is seeking an additional System Test Engineer for an initial 3 month contract. Working with design drawings and documents you will validate the systems to ensure compliance against project specifications. A software bias is essential. Starting late September/Oct, you will be expected to comit to the 3 months as a minimum. Interested..... Working within the project team to check the equipment under test (EUT) for compliance against building drawings and design standards Working to project requirements, drawings and documents, you will attach the equipment to designated simulation equipment, carry out Electrical and Hardware tests Carry out full functional logic test as per set procedures and logic design documentation (cause and effects, Boolean logic diagram, graphic layouts etc); identify all faults/discrepancies against the project documents and drawings using the fault reporting procedure database. To participate/supervise the factory acceptance test with the customer’s representative. To be a pro-active member of the project engineering team and provide support and input to the team as required. Skills and experience: HNC Electronics, plus time served apprenticeship is highly desirable Competant testing/commissioning PLC based control systems and associated communication networks and HMI displays. Must be able to diagnose hardware faults down to an electronic module level and software faults in the PLC application logic. Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Lotus Notes) Good communication skills – must be a team player
