My client is a leading Healthcare provider of Nursing and Residential homes for the Elderly and are part of a group of homes based in the South. They are now looking to recruit a Care Manager to Manage the Nursing Homes Dementia unit.

The Nursing Home is based in a pleasant residential area of Tunbridge Wells set in delightful landscaped surroundings and offers an activities program tailored specifically to the needs of those coping with Dementia.

To be successful for the Care Manager role you will be either an RMN / RGN with a strong working background within Dementia care. The Dementia unit is based within my clients 70 bedded nursing home in Tunbridge Wells.

The Care Manager will be in charge of the day to day running of the Dementia Unit, and will carry out supervisions, do the rota for their floor and assist with daily allocations and training of staff. 

The unit manager will be  working 40 hours per week and at least 12 will be supernumerary on that unit. There will be 336 hours of care staff to oversee and approx 44 hours of RGN or RMN cover. This with the hours worked by the unit manager will translate to the number of staff needed depending on the number of hours they will do.
