Project Manager - Aberdeen - £50k-£55k + £7k cash allowances, pension, holidays and clear succession planning.

Key position which will lead onto Operations Manager role. Rare blank canvass opportunity.

A Project Manager is required in Aberdeen to oversee and significantly expand existing pigging maintenance/refurbishment contracts with 3 major operators. They will also contribute towards the growth of the business and act as a key client contact in the region.

With the full backing of the board and senior management team, the successful applicant will deliver a doubling of turnover in the next few years. You will work with them to develop a successful delivery strategy and begin increasing headcount as you progress towards and Operations Manager.

A very rare opportunity to do this with an established service business with high levels of autonomy.

Responsibilities:-

• Acting as a key client contact for project specific / technical queries.
• Business development - identify new clients and areas for expansion of the business.
• Preparation of commercial and technical proposals & providing technical support to the Sales Engineers.
• Performing contract and design reviews for each Project.
• Accountability for overall budgets and profit margin of projects.
• Management (and preparation if necessary) of engineering documentation such as cleaning philosophy, operational procedures, schematics/P&ID’s, equipment lists, etc.
• Presentation of appropriate reports, studies, procedures, documentation etc
• Provide advice on engineering principles (e.g. process operations, debris handling, etc.).

 Requirements:-

Essential

• Educated to degree or equivalent level in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent commercial awareness and experience in managing significant contracts of at least £1 million in value from enquiry to close-out.
• Have a good knowledge of latest standards and design codes relating to pipelines and pressure retaining equipment as applied in the oil and gas pipeline industry.

Desirable

• Knowledge of pipeline production cleaning and inspection programs would be advantageous.
• Detailed knowledge of pigging

Remuneration Guideline:

• £50,000 - £55,000
• 25 days holiday + statutory allowances
