Description

Shift Manager (Packing Hall Manager) - Blackpool - Interim Contract - £28,000 - £32,000 (Pro-Rata, Dependant on Experience)

A Shift Manager, essentially from within a large food production background is required to work in this fast paced challenging role.

Initially you will start on a contract basis due to the urgency of the vacancy, but you will be expected to fill the role on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at an established market leading company.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the Factory Manager, you will have responsibility for the whole shift production, which is 3 production lines, the packing department and the team of engineers. This is approximately 40/50 staff and each dept has a Team Leader.

Essential

The ideal candidate will be responsible for and be able to demonstrate -

  • A track record of improvement of production lines.
  • Experience in multi-head weighing machines
  • Day to day/Week to week Shift Running/Production Planning.
  • Liaising with Factory Manager and holding 'handover talks' with opposite shift manager.
  • Control and adherence to strict food H&S/Hygiene regulations.

It is also desirable that you will have been exposed to Kaizan manufacturing principles, but not essential.
