**Home Manager Needed for Children’s Services**

An exciting position has arisen to Manage three Children’s Homes in Wiltshire

The role involves the setting up and development of 3 single or dual placement residential children’s homes for young people (8 – 18 years) with a range of complex needs. You will provide a quantifiable outcome based service, committed to the promotion of the rights and well-being of young people.

Managing a small but diverse staff team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every young person is treated fairly and as an individual entitled to respect and dignity. The role will also require the delivery of professional partnership related therapeutic orientated services.  Applicants will need to demonstrate previous managerial experience, ideally within a children's residential setting.  Prior experience of OFSTED inspections with Dip SW / ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) and working with children and young people are desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and running of the home in accordance with company agreed standards, systems, and regulatory and legal requirements. To monitor ongoing expenditure, and to report to your line manager through supervision.

Proven experience in a managerial role working with young people with challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.

Qualifications:

• Level 5 in management

Essential:

• Robust, Resilient and Reliable characteristics.

• Looking for experience in new start ups - someone who can shape the service to what they want.

• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and multitasking skills.

• Effective supervision and leadership skills.

• The ability to cope with and remain calm in very challenging and demanding situations.

The houses require 24-7 staffing.

Hours will be full time - with on call - but can be flexible with the shift pattern.

Salary: £25-30k + Bonus

All positions are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced CRB Disclosure. Expense will be met by the employer.
