***Business Development Officer***

My client is a registered charity and has been established for over 25 years. They support over 280 people with learning disabilities in England and Wales to have a full life. They provide services in Residential Homes, Supported Living and offer floating support services to people with a variety of Learning Disabilities.

They are now looking for a Business Development Officer to work in their head office based in North London. This will be a full time post working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday on a 2 year fixed contract.

Main purpose of the role:

To support the Operations and Development team with the growth of services, the drafting of tender documents, and collecting and preparing necessary performance information.

Duties:

  • To scope opportunities for new business through tender portals and local authority websites

  • To work with Operations and Development Managers on the completion of tender documents

  • To maintain a database of current and relevant case studies

  • To maintain the tenders folder on the L drive and ensure current and relevant documents for tenders and new business are stored accessibly

  • To maintain the archived completed tenders and identify ‘good’ responses that can be used in forth coming tenders

  • To monitor tender performance and provide reports to specified meetings and people

Requirements:

To be successful for the role you will need to have experience in a similar role and have a knowledge of the care industry ideally within Learning Disabilites. You will be well organised, sales orientated with good administration and IT skills. You will posses a polite and clear telephone voice and have a professional and confident attitude towards work.
