Design Engineer - Saffron Walden - Salary up to £30,000

We have an urgent need for a Design Engineer with CATIA experience to work with limited supervision generating designs that comply with customer requirements. The company have and excellent reputation for innovation, finding solutions to customer's electro-mechanical problems in hostile environments worldwide. They manufacture equipment used in a variety of industries including rail, power, industrial connectors and cable management systems.

Responsibilities:-

Use CATIA to provide design solutions/schemes as specified. Manage the design aspects of new projects.

Work within a cross functional team to use FMEA, DFMA and other tools.

Liaise and visit customers to identify exact requirements

Produce BOM's and all other design documentation.

Requirements:-

Essential

Degree or equivalent design experience

Competent user of CATIA V5

Experience in designing moulded, rubber/plastic and machined parts

Desirable

Electro–Mechanical product design experience

Ability to prioritise for maximum productivity on multiple projects

Good communications skills

Salary/Benefits:-

25 days holiday

Contributory pension scheme

Hours of work - 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday Finishing at 1pm Friday.
