AREA SALES MANAGER - Barking area
£28,000 to £30,000 Basic, £45,000 OTE (Uncapped)

The Role:

-The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for generating new business revenue selling corporate and commercial office space solutions and services within a geographically defined territory.
-Generating revenue through proactive lead generation and reactive selling, in addition to leads generated by a dedicated telesales team based in Ireland.
-The ASM must meet and exceed the sales targets/metrics, such as revenue targets, deal volumes, conversion ratios and calls/visits.
-Sales are made by handling leads and converting prospects into customers and managing a sales pipeline.
-While primarily focused on a defined territory the ASM is also responsible for securing business and selling the entire product line across the globe, and engaging in renewals as instructed.

80% will be sales and 20% managing staff. 2 x Customer Services, 1 Receptionist, and managing the cleaner to ensure the office is up to standard. They will be motivating the team, doing weekly reviews, recruitment etc
-The successful candidate will be primarily based from one of the Barking centres.

The Person:

-Applicants must possess a minimum of 2 years experience in commercial sales and have some level of man management experience. Ideally they will have managed customer service/admin/reception but would consider sales management but this is not first choice.
-The successful candidate will have a positive and outgoing personality, be hungry, keen, proactive and be able to provide a sharp and professional corporate image.
-Key competencies for the role are ambition, customer focus, results orientation and commercial awareness.
-A structured sales approach is a necessity and formal sales training is desirable.
-With a big emphasis on closing sales on the first appointment, applicants must have experience of fast-paced, short sales cycles.
