ENGINEERING MANAGER - C£50K + CAR/ALLOWANCE + BENEFITS - ROTATING EQUIPMENT - MAJOR OEM - NORTH EAST - EXCITING GROWTH PLANS

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing manager or senior engineer looking for the next step up, to work for one of the most well established  forward thinking OEM's in the UK. The company are a global organisation and are world renowned for their products and expertise within the rotating equipment industry. They supply a range of products to a multitude of industries on and off shore and pride themselves on quality and first class customer service. Their current growth plans and strategy are extremely exciting and this position will play a key role is the UK operation achieving its objectives over the next 5yrs.

The role:

Reporting into the General Manager and based out their hub in the North east the successful applicant will be responsible for the following :

• To support the companies UK service organisation and customers through technical expertise in design, installation and maintenance of specialised rotating equipment
• Man-management of the commissioning team
• Technical support to the whole service/commissioning function
• Provide engineering advice to support sales and business development as well as on going projects in the field
• Provide support to the workshop in North East with regards to repairs, spares, quality and after market service
• Provide assistance with other senior managers in identifying training requirements and in turn training plans to develop the workforce for the future

Essential requirements :

• Extensive current or previous hands on experience with either the design, installation, commissioning or service of rotating equipment i.e. centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines etc
• Experience in leading teams and/or managing personal with regards to the above
• Min HNC or equivalent

Desirable requirements :

• Have worked for another rotating equipment OEM
• Have a broad understanding of 3rd party products as well as own companies
• Multi skilled with regards to mechanical and electrical controls experience
• Degree or equivalent
