RGN HOME MANAGER REQUIRED

My client is leading provider in the social care industry covering residential, nursing and domiciliary care. My client has an excellent opportunity for a Care Manager to work in their 92 bedded nursing home based in South London.

This role requires the Care Manager to take a proactive role within the Home, providing adequate care and resolution of problems when required to do so.

Brief description of key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the health and social care needs of all service users within the Home;

• Responsible for the complete care of residents, meeting their health requirements through adoption of an holistic approach;

• Responsible for the effective management of the facilities services within the Home;

• To adhere to, and put into practice, all company policies and procedures, as and when appropriate.

• To recruit, interview and appoint suitably trained and experienced staff for the Home, utilising all resources available;

• To effectively manage and train staff in line with the requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000; Quality Assurance Systems and Investors In People Awards;

• To participate in day and night-time audits of the Care Centre, and report any areas of concern in a timely fashion;

• To effectively manage and work within the allocated budget;

• To monitor staff attendance through the devising of Duty Rosters, Sickness and Absence Reports and effective management of annual leave and training attendance in accordance with the Home staffing notice and Company Policy and Procedures;

• To implement a program of social and leisure activities, in partnership with the service users, which accurately reflects their wishes and choices;

• To perform any other reasonable duties as may be required.

 Qualifications:

• 1^st Level Registered Nurse RGN is essential & must have experience within a nursing home with the elderly.

• NVQ Level 4 or Equivalent
