If you are interested in the position, ask for the next interview if the situation allows. If you feel the job is right for you and you want to receive an offer, ask.
"Now that I have had the opportunity to sit down and discuss the position with you,
I'm very interested in taking it further. You've had the opportunity to meet me, do you have any reservations about me" .
Use your instincts in any selling situation, if all the buying signals are right, you would never walk away from a meeting without knowing the next move - whether that is to go away and prepare a quotation or to close and get an order. An interview is no different.
Don't be to discouraged if no definite offer is made or specific salary discussed. The employer will probably want to communicate with his office first, or interview more candidates, before making a decision.
Many employers hire the enthusiasm demonstrated by an applicant .If you get the impression that the interview is not going well and that you have already been rejected, don't let your discouragement show. Once in a while an employer who is genuinely interested in your potential, may seem to discourage you in order to test your reaction. Find out what reservations the client has - if they are not addressed in the interview, they cannot be answered afterwards - Ask;
Lastly and most important, call your consultant immediately after each interview and tell him/her what happened. He/she will want to talk to you before the employer calls them back. If you are interested in the position the consultant will help you get it.
